About Sunara Energy

A physical energy trader built on integrity, dependable execution and long-term relationships.

Our Story

Born in the Gulf, built for the markets that need energy most

Sunara Energy FZE was established in the United Arab Emirates by a team with deep experience in physical commodity trading, shipping and operations. We saw a gap for a trader that combines commercial agility with disciplined execution.

Today we trade refined petroleum products, petrochemicals, polymers and LPG, supported by storage and logistics from the UAE's east and west coasts. Our customers are refiners, distributors, utilities and manufacturers across the GCC, East and West Africa, and the Indian subcontinent.

The name says it all: Sun for the energy that powers the region, -ara for the arc of trade that connects it — reflected in the sun, the wave and the green shoot of our logo.

Sunara Energy

Our Mission

To deliver energy and petrochemical products reliably, transparently and competitively to the industries that build growing economies — while meeting the highest standards of compliance and counterparty care.

Our Vision

To be the trading partner of choice between Gulf supply and emerging-market demand — and a credible participant in the region's transition to lower-carbon energy.

Our Values

What we hold ourselves to

Integrity

We say what we will do and do what we say — on price, quality and timing.

Compliance

KYC, sanctions screening and AML checks on every counterparty, every time. No exceptions.

Partnership

We build relationships measured in years and repeat cargoes, not single trades.

Excellence

Precision in documentation, operations and risk management.

Governance & Compliance

Trade you can rely on

We run our compliance programme to the standard expected of a regulated commodity trader.

  • Counterparty due diligence — full KYC on suppliers, buyers, agents and vessels before first trade.
  • Sanctions & AML screening — OFAC, EU, UN and UAE lists screened at onboarding and at every shipment.
  • Vessel vetting — age, flag, ownership, AIS history and P&I cover checked before nomination.
  • Documentary discipline — shipping documents checked against the contract before every cargo.
  • Quality & quantity — independent inspection (SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas) at load and discharge.
  • Licensing — Hamriyah Free Zone Authority licence for trading in petroleum and petrochemical products.
